Services

Trauma & EMDR Therapy

Trauma can continue to affect emotions, relationships, beliefs, and body responses long after an experience has ended. EMDR therapy is designed to reduce the distress connected to unresolved experiences so they feel less activating in the present.

Therapy may address PTSD, complex trauma, emotional triggers, painful relationship experiences, perfectionism, shame, or patterns of remaining in survival mode.

OCD & ERP Therapy

OCD can involve intrusive thoughts, checking, reassurance seeking, avoidance, mental reviewing, contamination concerns, relationship doubts, hyper-responsibility, or the persistent need to feel completely certain.

Exposure and Response Prevention helps clients practice experiencing intrusive thoughts and uncertainty without relying on compulsions, reassurance, or avoidance.

Chronic Stress & Emotional Overwhelm

Therapy can help when you feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, chronically responsible for others, or unable to move out of survival mode—even when life appears manageable from the outside.

Treatment focuses on understanding the patterns contributing to distress, developing greater emotional flexibility, and creating sustainable changes that support your wellbeing and relationships.

Therapy Beyond Crisis

Therapy is not only for moments of crisis or severe symptoms. Many adults seek therapy because they feel disconnected from themselves, emotionally exhausted, stuck in recurring patterns, or uncertain about how they want to move forward in life.

Therapy can create space for greater self-understanding, emotional clarity, healthier relationships, increased confidence, and a stronger sense of alignment with your values and goals.

The work is not about becoming someone different — but developing a more grounded, flexible, and connected relationship with yourself and your life.

What to Expect

Therapy begins with a free 15-minute phone consultation to briefly discuss what you are looking for and whether Ascent Therapy Co. may be a good fit.

If we decide to proceed, the initial appointment includes a more detailed conversation about your concerns, history, goals, and treatment options. Ongoing therapy is collaborative and tailored to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all process.

Sessions are provided virtually to adults who are physically located in Utah or Oregon at the time of their appointment.
